Our Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks Meeting

Hey Chicks!!!
So we had a GREAT time at our last meeting (which was also the day before Mrs. Deraps' birthday :D). We talked about how Frankie was a head strong young women who was pushed around because of her beauty and how the guys around her didn't see her for who she was and who she wanted them to see. We talked about the misfits in this world and how maybe we are all misfits in some way or another. We also discussed secret societies and the whole Alpha situation :) We only have 1 meeting left so make sure to get the book and we hope to see you at the meeting!!!

So I hope everyone had gotten to read our new book The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart. We are having a meeting March 29! It is like usual in the library at 2:15 with food, fun, and lots of discussion. I will be putting posters up to remind you!! So we hope to see you there!!!

Our Grace Meeting

Well we had a great meeting!!! A grand total of 10 chicks were able to make it and I hope that more can make it next time (don't forget you can bring new chicks!!!). So even though not all of us liked the book we had a great discussion about choices and death. We decided that it didn't matter where this book took place and that Grace is a great character who was brainwashed and in the end hopefully escaped. Some of us decided that it should have been longer and more descriptive but in the end an overall good book.

Grace!!!!

So we are on the fourth book of this year called Grace! It is looking pretty good so far if I do say so myself! :) Our next meeting will be March 1, 2011 and it will be in the library at 2:15. We will have posters up to help remind you!!! We would love for you to bookmark this and check up on it to find out when meetings are!

Our New Blog!!!!!!

So since our old (hoping no one takes this literally) librarian Mrs. Robinson has retired to write her book series (and has taken her blog with her), we decided that Chick Lit should have a brand new blog!!! We have decided it will be passed down through the assisticants who come along so it should be lots of fun!!! Since we are starting this a little late this year I just wanted to give the books we have read already a little spot on our blog! :)  They were all great as you know and if you didn't end up getting to read them you definitely should!!!


The first book we read was The Chosen One!

The second book was the Hate List.

The third book was If I Stay.
